Skin rashes prompt Fitbit to issue a recall for fitness wristband

On February 20, Fitbit issued a voluntary recall of its “Force” wristband after nearly 2% of all users reported experiencing skin problems.

According to Fitbit CEO, James Park, the affected users might have had an allergic reaction to the nickel and steel used in the manufacturing of the device. Fitbit issued several apologies along with the recall. People who own the Force wristband are eligible for a refund or replacement.

Caldwell teen killed in Middleton car accident

On Monday, February 10 Chase Panda, 19, died in a two-vehicle accident west of Middleton.

The accident occurred before 10 a.m. on Idaho 44. Panda was driving east when he ran into a tractor-trailer turning east onto Idaho 44. Panda was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer did not sustain serious injuries.

Currently Idaho police are still investigating all possible causes of the accident. Some investigators mentioned that the weather on the day of the accident may have affected Panda’s ability to see beyond certain distances.

Young woman dies in Interstate 80 accident

A passenger in a Toyota Tundra died in a car accident on Wednesday, January 29 five miles west of Rawlins.

The accident occurred along Interstate 80, when Sean Anderson, the driver of an eastbound Toyota Tundra, veered off of the road and struck a post in the median. After the truck struck the post it flipped multiple times.

Tiffany Anderson, a passenger in the backseat of the vehicle died from serious injuries after being ejected from the vehicle. Sean was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
