On February 20, Fitbit issued a voluntary recall of its “Force” wristband after nearly 2% of all users reported experiencing skin problems.
According to Fitbit CEO, James Park, the affected users might have had an allergic reaction to the nickel and steel used in the manufacturing of the device. Fitbit issued several apologies along with the recall. People who own the Force wristband are eligible for a refund or replacement.
